This is one of my 4 pieces of illustration in the series of “Circle Love”.
This illustration is dedicated to myself as I need to fulfill my dream as an artist ! I am passionate about creating my arts,so I know it is what I want to do.
I want to fulfill my dream and enjoy every moment when I create my arts!! So, this is to myself!!!!!
In all, this series is for my beloved sisters and I want to express my gratitude for sisterhood!!
For me, my family is my world! They constantly encourage me to dream big and work hard to reach my dream. So, I can freely create my arts is all because of them.
Without their support, I won’t be able to keep going! So, I often create my illustrations for my family!! This set is one of them that I am working on right now.
Sisterhood is something that I value dearly in my life! I have three lovely sisters who love me as who I am and always be there for me.
Each one of them has their own lives, and own goals to pursue. They always inspire me to do more and dream big!!!
So, this series is for my beloved sisters!!!!
You guys are the best!!!
In Chinese culture, circle 圓 (Yuán) is more than a shape. In fact, circle is stand for “oneness”, ” unity”, “fulfilled”,and “perfection”. We value the full circle of
importance as family or hopeful everything comes in full circle as a completion. We celebrate with family for Moon Festival when moon is at its fullest around
mid-autumn every year with round moon cakes.
It is also the reason why I always start with my drawing with “circle” shape.
Anyway, I decided to create this series for my family using these four meaning for each on of us in the family to express my love and gratitude for sisterhood.
Stay tuned for the total of 4 illustrations in this series!!!
In this illustration, I also handwritten Chinese Seal characters – fulfilled 落實 -to add onto the image.
Additionally, I put my name” Ni 妮 ” as a red seal for my personal signature !
It is a combination of two-part of Chinese Oracle bone characters 甲骨文: 女 and 尼 .
